About us

The Mill City Collective is the official NIL (name, image, and likeness) collective of the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. The mission of the Mill City Collective is to assist UML athletes from benefiting from their NIL, and in-turn create an NIL program that makes it attractive for UML to recruit and retain top student-athletes.

What is a Collective?

A collective is an organization formed to benefit student athletes at a specific university. Collectives pool funds from individual donors and corporate sponsors to help create NIL opportunities for student-athletes.

Our Team

General Manager: Brian Foley, Esq

Brian Foley is the General Manager and Treasurer of the Mill City Collective. Mr. Foley also owns and operates his own registered investment advisor firm, Lighthouse Capital, LLC and serves as an attorney for O’Connor & O’Connor law firm. Mr. Foley is a former two sport NCAA D-1 athlete, and although his sports talents have severely diminished with age, he is an avid sports fan today. He lives in the city of Boston with his wife Elisabeth and their two daughters Miriam and Vivian.

President: John O’Connor, Esq

John O’Connor is the President of the Mill City Collective and is a Partner attorney with O’Connor & O’Connor law firm.  Attorney O’Connor graduated from Fairfield University in 2003 and then went on to obtain his law degree from the New England School of Law. He is a former NCAA D-1 athlete, having played on the Fairfield University hockey team. John lives in the town of Maynard with his wife Callie and their two children Colin and Emma.
